Terms and Conditions of Booking:
These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement concerning the provision of our taxi service (“service”) between you and Taxis Wymondham Ltd.
1.1 You must allow sufficient time when booking your taxi to reach destination including any delays caused by traffic or weather conditions. Taxis Wymondham shall not be responsible for any delay caused by your failure to allow enough time to reach your destination or if the passengers are not ready for collection at the arranged booked time.
1.2 You must order a suitable vehicle size for the number of passengers and luggage. It is against the law to carry more passengers than the vehicle is licensed to carry.
1.3 Children no matter what age or size counts as one passenger.
2. Prices & Payment
2.1 Taxis Wymondham will quote you on the information given by you at the time. The final charge may be more depending on the final destination. We will charge for any additional pick up’s or drop off’s en route or for any additional passengers not specified in the original booking.
2.2 We may charge you if you cancel the taxi after it has been dispatched. This will be the standard pick up charge plus any additional mileage the driver has incurred.
2.3 Our drivers generally allow 10 minutes (5 minutes during peak periods) at the agreed pick up time for passengers to board the vehicle, if after this time passengers have still not boarded the vehicle will leave to carry out further work. If we are called back you will be charged waiting time plus any additional mileage the driver has incurred.
2.4 All airport or long distance journeys must be paid in full for both trips on the outgoing journey. We require 6 hours notice for any changes to Airport pickups, anything less than 6 hours notice you accept you may still be charged for the full journey (This does not apply to Norwich Airport).
2.5 Payment can be made by cash (sterling only) or by credit / debit card (this incurs 5% charge). under no circumstances do we accept cheques.
3. The Service
3.1 You shall be responsible for the behaviour of all passengers in the vehicle during the journey. You will be charged £80 to cover cleaning costs in the event of the vehicle being soiled by any passenger.
3.2 You are strictly prohibited to eat, drink and/or smoke in any of our vehicles.
3.3 All children traveling during the journey shall be restrained in a manner appropriate to their age, weight and height. Suitable child seats must be used and supplied and fitted by the parent / carer. Such seats may be retained by the driver for any return journeys booked.
3.4 Taxis Wymondham does not offer any discounts or ‘free fares’ in the unlikely event that your taxi is late.
4.1 Taxis Wymondham shall use all reasonable endeavours to get you to your destination on time but shall not be liable for any loss due to delays caused by road or traffic conditions beyond it’s control on the journey. Under no circumstances shall Taxis Wymondham be liable (in contract, tort or otherwise) for any loss of profits, business or for any indirect or consequential loss whatsoever.
4.2 All luggage and personal belongings . is carried entirely at your own risk, Taxis Wymondham will not be responsible for any damage or loss incurred to luggage and personal belongings .
4.3 Taxis Wymondham shall be entitled to cancel all services and provide refunds (where applicable) in the event of a declared national emergency, riot, war, fuel shortage, extreme weather or terrorist attack, or any other circumstances beyond it’s control. If the vehicle breaks down during your journey Taxis Wymondham will endeavour to arrange alternative transport to complete your journey as soon as practicable.
4.4 You shall indemnify Taxis Wymondham against all loses, costs, damages and expenses arising from any act or omission of any passenger in your party.
4.5 Neither party excludes or limits it’s liability for death or personal injury sustained by negligence, wilful default or fraudulent misrepresentation, or otherwise in any manner unenforceable by any applicable law.
5.1 Taxis Wymondham will refuse or terminate any booking with immediate effect if it places any driver or vehicle at risk of damage, violence or abuse by you or any passenger in your party and will ask all passengers to vacate the vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so. No refunds will be given if the journey is part way through the hire.
6.1 Taxis Wymondham may subcontract it’s obligations under this agreement. You shall not assign, transfer or delegate any of your rights under this agreement.
6.2 Taxis Wymondham may change these terms and conditions at any time by posting changes online.
6.3 Taxis Wymondham shall store, process and use all information regarding your personal details in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998.
6.4 Nothing in this agreement is intended to confer any benefit on any third party, whether pursuant to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise and no third party shall have the right to enforce any rights under this agreement except where otherwise agreed in writing.
7.1 Taxis Wymondham will prosecute any offender for any unlawful action brought against it’s vehicles, premises, or staff. This includes damage to any vehicle or premises. Theft from any vehicle or premises (including non payment of fares). Violence or abuse towards any member of staff. We will also (where necessary) take legal action against verbal or written slander towards the company or staff.
8.1 This agreement shall be construed in accordance with English law and you and Taxis Wymondham each agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts in respect of any dispute or claim arising out or in connection with this agreement.
